Our B&B accommodation is located in the historic village of Ballachulish on the banks of Loch Leven. The heart of the West Highlands of Scotland. Less than a mile from the atmospheric Glencoe, site of the infamous massacre, there’s more breath-taking landscapes and history in the area than you can shake a stick at. Situated on the main A82 route from Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling to Fort William, Oban, the Isle of Skye, and the Isle of Mull. And on to The Great Glen, Loch Ness with its world famous monster, and Inverness, Ballachulish, near Glencoe is the perfect location to explore the spectacular beauty of the area.
We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in Glencoe with very comfortable beds and a delicious full breakfast. And with the introduction of our new breakfast menu, we believe we now offer the best B&B breakfast around! We have double rooms, twin rooms, a triple room and a family room that sleeps up to five. All our B&B rooms have en-suite shower rooms, TV and DVD, and tea and coffee making facilities. There’s also a homey and comfortable guest lounge with a DVD library, a stack of games, and loads of information on the area. We have a drying room if you get caught in the rain, and a bicycle shed. There’s free on-site parking (one space per room) and free super-fast Wifi. And we’re family friendly, welcoming kids of all ages. We have cots, highchairs and listening devices for the very young.
For evening meals and refreshments, there’s the Laroch Bar and Restaurant with its Michelin Starred chef right across the road. There’s also the all-new Quarriers Fish & Chip restaurant and the Isles of Glencoe Hotel a few minutes’ walk away. And there is a host of other fine eateries within a few minutes’ drive, including our favourite, The Loch Leven Seafood Cafe. Glencoe is the perfect place for hikers, hillwalkers, cyclists, extreme sports enthusiasts, golfers, whisky aficionados, skiers, mountaineers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all varieties. All are catered for close to Strathassynt Bed and Breakfast (see our See and Do pages). It’s also the perfect location for those who just want to escape the madding crowd and do a little soul-recharging. The peace and quiet of this beautiful land is perfect for it.
