Come and stay a while in the Strathassynt Self Catering Cottage Glencoe. Set amid some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole of the British Isles, it makes an excellent base for exploring the Glencoe area. With a double room and a twin room, both of which are ensuite (shower not bath), dining kitchen and comfortable, cozy lounge, Strathassynt self-catering cottage Glencoe will be your home from home while you explore the spectacular mountains (many of which are Munros), lochs, glens, castles and whisky distilleries surrounding it.
Strathassynt Cottage accommodation Glencoe consists of a lounge, dining-kitchen, ensuite double room and ensuite twin room, and
there is space for an extra bed or cot. It has full oil-fired central heating, instant hot water and there’s access to an extensive DVD library, a stack of games, and loads of information on the area. We’ve a drying room if you got caught in the rain, and a bicycle shed. And we’re family friendly, welcoming kids of all ages, providing cots, highchairs and listening devices for the very young when required. For full details of the accommodation, click here.
For evening meals and refreshments, we have the Laroch Bar and Restaurant with its Michelin Starred chef right across the road, and the Ilses of Glencoe Hotel a few minutes’ walk away. And there is a host of fine eateries within a few minutes’ drive, including our favourite, The Loch Leven Seafood Cafe. (See our Eating and Drinking page in See and Do for more information).
Ballachulish is the perfect place for hikers, hillwalkers, cyclists, extreme sport enthusiasts, golfers, whisky aficionados, skiers, mountaineers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all varieties, all of whom are catered for in the Glencoe area (see our See and Do section). It’s also the perfect location for those who just want to escape the madding crowd and do a little soul-recharging in the peace and quiet of this beautiful land.
