Located in the historic village of Ballachulish on the banks of Loch Leven in the West Highlands of Scotland, less than a mile from the atmospheric Glencoe, site of the infamous massacre, there’s more breath-taking landscapes and history in the area than you can shake a stick it. Situated on the main A82 route from Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling to Fort William, Oban, the Isle of Skye, the Isle of Mull, and on to The Great Glen, Loch Ness with its world famous monster, and Inverness, Ballachulish, near Glencoe is the perfect location to explore this incredible area.
Strathassynt Cottage accommodation Glencoe consists of a lounge, dining-kitchen, ensuite double room and ensuite twin room, and
there is space for an extra bed or cot. It has full oil-fired central heating, instant hot water and there’s access to an extensive DVD library, a stack of games, and loads of information on the area. We’ve a drying room if you got caught in the rain, and a bicycle shed. For evening meals and refreshments, we have the Laroch Bar and Restaurant with its Michelin Starred chef right across the road, and the Ilses of Glencoe Hotel a few minutes’ walk away.
